ROASTED HONEY ALMONDS
These are a delicious smoky, sweet treat. I just added a little flair to the Smokehouse Almonds by adding some honey and briefly roasting these nuts. Nuts are a great source of energy and essential fat, but consuming nuts should be a very thoughtful approach as zoning out with a bowl of nuts you might overdue your daily caloric intake. Almonds, in particular, have a nice balance of healthy fats, by having a daily serving (17 almonds, seriously that is all), this can increase your HDL aka healthy cholesterol, making your cardiologist VERY happy! Plus, your blood cells will be loving all the smooth sailing as they make their way throughout your circulatory system. All in all, a handful of nuts will leave your heart crushin’ life a little stronger! Pucker up love…
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400 degree F
Place nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet
Drizzle honey and sprinkle the black pepper of the nuts
Place baking sheet into oven and roast for about 4 minutes, you’ll just start to notice the smell.
Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. The honey should still be malleable and you can place in a bowl or jar for storage.
Nuts can be stored with lid for about 2-4 weeks.
Enjoy!
