BLUEBERRY + GREENS SMOOTHIE

Enjoy the bounty of the season with some fresh blueberries and greens like kale and fennel, or freeze some for the winter months. This beautiful smoothie is great for helping to support the circulatory, digestive, and immune systems.

I love adding greens to smoothies and most of the time, you don't notice and it can be a great way to "sneak" in veggies unbeknownst to children or adults that just don't eat enough vegetables. This particular smoothie has some great ingredients, but please be mindful if you are on any heart medications, such as blood thinners and/or statins, and check with your medical doctor(s). The increase in vitamin K rich foods can interfere with some medications, so it is always best to seek out medical advice when changing your diet or upping any vegetables.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Blueberries*

  • 1/2 Cup Kale*

  • 1 Fennel Bulb*

  • 1 Banana

  • 1 Tablespoon Hemp Hearts

  • 1 Cup Plant Based Milk

  • 2 scoops Essential Stacks Friendly Prebiotics

  • 2 scoops Essential Stacks Gut Collagen

PREPARATION

  1. Add all ingredients into blender, in same order as listed.

  2. Blend until there are no lumps or bumps.

  3. Enjoy!
